FAQs about pressed botanicals

inventory / custom work / disclaimers / care + lighting / framing / copyright

inventory

My adventuring is very extensive and availability varies greatly each growing season.

Therefore, the inventory of original works is constantly changing and evolving. I have amassed over 1,600,000 leaves, branches, petals, blooms, ferns, grasses, seaweed, clovers, plants with their root structure, etc.—which is an unattainable amount to catalog online!!

So, let's chat about your particular specimen interest.

custom artwork / commissions

I also harvest from clients’ gardens and farms to create artwork very specific to their property and am willing to travel regionally or internationally depending on my availability. With an existing collection of over 1.5 million specimens, there is an opportunity for collaboration to create very personal, customized pieces.

We can talk about your space, color palette and botanical preferences, and work together to create very special, meaningful custom artworks.

disclaimers

Please note that all botanical elements used in this artwork are subject to natural fading over time. Exposure to light, air, and environmental conditions can affect the vibrancy and longevity of these elements. While every effort has been made to preserve the integrity of the botanicals, some degree of fading should be anticipated as the artwork ages. To maintain the best possible condition, we recommend displaying the piece away from direct sunlight and in a stable environment. That being said, the botanical elements age beautifully and often gain value over time.

care + lighting

Due to their natural beauty, all botanicals will fade overtime. They should not be hung in direct sunlight nor in a room where steam or water is present such as a bathroom.

framing

I am working with a highly skilled framer in Nashville for both originals and prints. Pressed botanicals are fragile and should be handled by an experienced framer for the utmost in protection. However, we can discuss options for shipping framed or unframed.

copyright

Copyright infringement is taken very seriously. I, as the artist, retain the copyright ownership to the botanical originals purchased.

Please respect intellectual property rights regarding images of the botanicals as well— images on this website are subject to copyright law in the same manner as any other creative work.
